What a treat to have found this author. I discovered him through bookbub . I read his whole codename series and it was awesome their are currently 3 books in that series and I would recommend all 3. This novel was a standalone but I could see it very easily being turned into a merit as well. This novel had great characters with great back stories and backlogs. If you are a fan of the spy spec ops, espionage, action etc. Then ease give this author a shot, trust me you could do much worse. You will lose sleep over this novel, you will not put it down....A very solid 4.5 Stars across the board..read it gang I promise you will enjoy!Product details

A super action thriller with .spies , counter spies , lots of shoot out action, with the finest special forces ,in the Sun baked Libyan desert.
Very enjoyable. Mark Arundel is at the current generation's Eric Ambler or Ian Fleming. I enjoyed this novel so much that I promptly bought all of the others he has published. And, now nearing the end of the last, all I can say is "Mark, get busy and write some more!" 😎
When the British SIS sends a four-man team of elite soldiers into North Africa on a covert assassination mission, everything goes wrong. Their target is a dangerous Islamic extremist leader, and accompanying them is the daughter of a local moderate that the UK wants to influence. Hayes, the team leader, fights against long odds, and home-based machinations when the woman’s captured and his team comes under attack. With few allies and more than enough enemies, the team’s survival is in doubt.
Bonfire by Mark Arundel is a fast-paced thriller of secret intelligence and betrayal. Lots of technical and geographical details, but it lost a little credibility when everyone but the main character, Hayes, is given full names. In particular, the woman he’s been ‘intimate’ with should know more than ‘Mr. Hayes.’ This isn’t a deal breaker, but the story would have much better if readers knew more about the hero.
